Meet Lola, a twenty-something who’s addicted to 80s music, likes watching Coronation Street, still dreams of becoming famous and loves shopping in Topshop.
On the surface, Lola is one of your typical run-of-the-mill girls, who, because of the current economic downturn is still living with her Mum and Dad in Arbroath, a seaside town on the east coast of Scotland. But, if you look underneath the surface, Lola is still facing her demons and is still coming to terms with her Asperger’s Syndrome, after being in denial for so many years.
In order to overcome her demons, she decided to start up a blog, “What Would Lola Do?” where she writes about her past, present and future dreams… not to mention her affections for her crushes since she was 5 years’ old – Mr Me and Baby Mr Me.
One day, she was listening to the radio as normal, when the DJ announced that one of her crushes, Mr Baby Me, was to be taking over the show. Was temptation to email him about to kick in? And was her dreams on getting it on with her crushes and working in the media about to come true?
